Assalamu Alaikum Parents,
On March 18, 2019 a student teacher from University of Windsor will be visiting our classroom. She is going to be with us for the next 5 weeks for her Field Practice as part of her program of Bachelor of Education. She will be getting to know all of our students and will be teaching partially in the following weeks. I will be monitoring her teaching and mentoring at the same time. Students will still be under my supervision at all times. She will be following the curriculum as designed for this period of time so students will study and learn the same material as they would with me and all the other teachers. I am looking forward to this exciting experience. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at any time.

Welcome to this new exciting school year. My name is Br. Astrit Hali, and I am going to be the homeroom teacher for Grade 2 this year. I am looking forward to participating in your child’s academic growth along with you, in order to have a successful year together.
During this school year, your child and I will be spending a lot of time together. It is my goal not only to teach your child academically but also teach organization and social skills. In addition to the core subjects: reading, writing, science, and math I also incorporate Islamic principles into our daily routine. Your child will be provided with many creative writing experiences and a wide range of math and science activities that will encourage critical thinking. I work hard to structure lessons to meet the needs of all learning styles so that each of my students will have a range of instruments and opportunities for learning.
I am delighted to have your child in my class this year. I have high expectations for your child, and I will be doing all that I can to help your child achieve those expectations. Your help and support will not only make your child more successful in school this year, but will also instill good study habits that will last a lifetime.
I would like you to know that one of my most important goals this year is to keep the lines of communication open with you. I encourage and kindly request regular communication between school and home in order to maximize the performance of each child.
